Was shoaib malik willfully obstructing the field when he kicked the ball away from zaheer khan. Looked like more of an obstrcution then what inzimam did.
Maybe if this trend continues, we d have a hockey refree in a crciket field judging obstructions…![]()
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
there is already thread on this
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
yeah there is another thread but that was posted 4 min after this one :D
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
Even if he was, he wouldnt be out because if bowler and batsman collide then its not out.
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
i assume he may have been out as was the case when shoaib akhtar and tendulkar collided in a test match. Tendulkar was judged run out then ...
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
u mean in kolkotta
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
Yes only that was wrongly given.
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
well what was the result of that india, i think india lost in close up margin
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
Yeah India lost that match.
Actually I wanted to highlight what happens when you have wrongful deeds. In the last match India appealed for Inzimam and got his wicket, still they lost. And in their hearts, they also knew that a mean act had been performed. This time, despite the fact that their was a better and fairer oppurtunity for an appeal. they couldnt make it due to all the media hype and criticism already inflicted upon them.
Look what Shaoib is doing to them ......
RESULT: It is always better to follow the norms of the game....
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he???
YOu are taking it out of context, he wouldnt have been out even if they appealed.
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
There is no "mean act", he was out fair and square, he is a dumbo
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he????
well said.
Re: Obstructing the field: SHOAIB MALIK. Was he???
well guyz, i also know inzimam was out, but what i also know is that u dont make appeals for such things, that is against the spirit of the game. if u remember the 1992 world cup, courtney walsh could have run out an australin non striker but he didnt and eventually lost the match and also the chance to go to semi final. thats what cricket is remembered for… anyhow, i agree that it isout of context as we are opresently talking of shoaib malik. he WoULD have been out, had he not kicked the ball.
But well done by him too as he disguised the kick for very well for being non intentional .. ![]()
