obsessed with desi and non desi discrimination

reading some of the previous threads i realized that people are totalllly obsessed with their new found desi and non desi descrimination…
putting all the values behind we are measuring ppls goodness or their chances of being acceptable in our so called wonderland on this new scale…
i find it really weird and disrespectful…
it like abusing ur own roots…we all belong to that desi world…dont we???

Re: obsessed with desi and non desi discrimination

Re: obsessed with desi and non desi discrimination

yes that makes FEW blonds...but most of the time ppl who come complaining do belong to that world...they might be born and bred in foreign land...but their parents come from their or the grand parents watever..

lost its a condition in ABCD which normally last a life time. They can be cured only after having pleasure of the company of a FOBs.

Now problem is FOBs don’t take them seriously. So ABCD got no place to go. No place but life1 :phati:

@naman :lifey:

reading most of the post I think so too.

I got the same impression. :lifey:

Re: obsessed with desi and non desi discrimination

what is a blond? Is that FOB way of saying blonde :D

@McPendo
u can show off ur turtle only when u have smthng good to say..
so bring it on speak ur mind.. :hmmm:

@Decent
oh arent we wayyy tooo Decent for the desiiiss… :wink:

No its American way of saying blond . You can also call them d-Blond . Here 'd' is for none other than desi :p

Re: obsessed with desi and non desi discrimination

I don't get it either, putting each other under all sorts of categories and labels...fobs, abcd, peela school etc trying to distance ourselves from the 'average' desi makes us feel good about ourselves i guess, low self esteem? is it an insult being seen as an average desi ?? in this melting pot i thinks its awesome being different, why fight it? why blend in and be vanilla? embrace the desiness with all the good and the bad 'cause there ain't no running away from it, no matter what passport or accent you hold you will still get asked 'but where are you ACTUALLY FROM'? so next time you poke fun at a 'fobby' desi or a 'confused' one, rest assured you are one of them whether you like it or not.

aapka comment parh k demagh k cholain hill gain. :D
magar samjh kuch nahi aya. :D
