Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

World's greatest democracy at it once again.

Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

mashAllah. they should put these complaining buddhis into concentration camps n make as much oil out of them as possible. we all can use extra cheap oil these days.

Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

I like her solution though - she made just enough fuss to get what was rightfully hers;
lets see what Obama does now.

my thoughts exactly - for once I was surprised at the logic of something that could otherwise be really blown out of proportion. :k:

wht logic? to get an apology from oo-aba-ama personally? seems like the muslim women are living in a fantasy land or maybe headscarfs are preventing fresh air to their brains. do they really think obama will apologize and damage his voters bank? i seriously doubt he’ll take that risk for a few lousy muslim votes, which in any capacity are worthless to begin with.

Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

^ they didn't say they "needed" an apology... they only suggested that it would have been better... I was referring to their idea to allow them to sit in a human backdrop in a future convention which will not only satisfy them personally but also give a fair chance to Obama's campaign and perhaps help its cause at the same time by not influencing the Muslim electorate's opinions on the bahavior of a couple of volunteers.

oroon ka to pata nahi albata app k damag main hawa he bhari lagti hai :chai:

Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

Photo taken this week. It’s clearly not Obama policy to exclude anyone (as the photo below proves) and if anyone was it was the result of overzealous volunteers.

You know I think I’m more offended that a muslim man would make that comment then by non muslims reacting the way they did.

You’re right – lets blow something up so that we can get our point accross.
Thats helped us so far…

why you bring India here

Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

I think the least he can do is apologize.

he won't, when his middle name "Hussian" became an issue, he can not openly apologize

Wasn't talking about Hindustan.

Chalo saieen, put on the pointy cap and go stand in the corner. Lousy crystal ball skills. :hehe:

Barack Obama personally apologized Thursday to two Detroit-area women who were barred from sitting behind him during a campaign rally because they wore Islamic headscarves.

Dawud Walid, head of the Michigan branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said the Democratic presidential hopeful spoke by phone with Shimaa Abdelfadeel and apologized to her. Walid also says Obama left a voicemail for the other woman, Hebba Aref.

Obama released a statement Thursday evening, confirming that he “reached out” to the two women.

“I spoke with Ms. Abdelfadeel, and expressed my deepest apologies for the incident that occurred with volunteers at the event in Detroit,” he said. “The actions of these volunteers were unacceptable and in no way reflect any policy of my campaign. I take deepest offense to and will continue to fight against discrimination against people of any religious group or background. Our campaign is about bringing people together, and I’m grateful that Ms. Abdelfadeel accepted our apology and I hope Ms. Aref and any who were offended accept my apology as well.”

Aref said Wednesday that Obama campaign volunteers had invited them to sit behind the podium during a Monday rally for the Illinois Senator at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. But she said they were told that women wearing hijabs, the traditional Muslim head scarves, couldn’t sit behind the podium — and in front of TV cameras.

Re: Obama volunteers barred Muslims

Personally, I think Obama bit a bullet.

Pics of him with "bad bad islamo-fascists" in the background would have given unwanted fodder to the countless right-wing bloggers, talk-show hosts and websites to restart the campaign that Obama is a closet muslim or will sell America to terrorists. This way, there is no picture, and he has gone out of the way to reach for muslim vote bank.

If muslims of America really want to make Obama President, they should publicly endorse McCain. Get Hamas to support McCain too. Louis Farrakhan and his band of weirdos should arrange McCain rallies. The dude will sink faster than Titanic. In these elections, no one wants muslim's endorsement. Thats just the reality.

UMmm…i think I know those girls, thats really weird. Well, if Obama had ne brains, which by the way, he doesnt, he wud know that Detroit has huge Muslims vote waiting for him, if he didnt treat being called a Muslim as an insult. And having those two gals in the hijabs sit behind him, wud have gotten muslim detroit voters to go gaga. I’ve lived there most of my life, so i wud know ,(plus it wud piss the jews off at U of M:bizz:, jk, i had to say that)
But, yeah, Obama..hai pajama!!! aka, HE"s a LOOSER! but hes hot…and im so off topic, i need to sleep.

then which is world's greatest democracy

According 2 Bush It's the US of A.
