I’m not sure what’s so special with the Obagi products. Many of it has benzol peroxide, various AHA’s, Vit. C, retinol’s etc. as the active ingredient. All of that can be found MUCH cheaper and with having to pay to see a doctor.

In addition, their “blue peel” is TCA based…but made more milder! From what I read online…the doc’s get the blue peel…and mix TCA with it. So the peel from Obagi (without TCA) doesn’t have any active ingredients (to my knowledge so far). Heck I can do TCA at home for a fraction of the cost.

Oh ok, thanks for the detailed reply! :k:

@Paheli00

Just to clarify, I’m NOT saying that this is a “bad” company. I’m sure their products get the job done. And I completely agree that if someone doesn’t have the time or the interest to do research on their own, and has the money to spend on designer skin care…then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

But if someone out there thinks that they MUST spend hundreads of dollars(upto thousands depending on how often you’re seeing M.D.) in order to have good skin OR deal with acne/wrinkle etc issues…then they’re wrong. And that’s my point…people making an informed decision. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone choosing Obagi (assuming they have the $$ for it) after knowing that there are cheaper options.

Well said.
