The old series and movies were really bad. I don't know how anyone could watch that :p
Old star wars movies beat old star trek movies, slightly.. Both are still bad.

How can you say that man? Star trek 2, 4 and 6 were amongst the best Star Trek movies, with 6 being the best Star Trek pre-reboot movie ever in my opinion.
The best episode of Star trek got to be the final two parts episode of ST TNG, (all good things was the name I think)

I couldn't stand star trek, everytime I saw my bro watch it and over the years things like DSN and enterprise it made me shiver.
The only good thing about star trek was the 2 new movies. Both were excellent. Series wise, I would probably say stargate was way more better than ST (even though I think I only saw 2-3 episodes of ST as a kid). I never watched the original SG series, I did watch SG atlantis though, was pretty good.

The Naked Time always cracked me up from the original series. I only watched the originals as a kid, I didn't care for the newer ones. They seemed kind of boring at the time. I'll give captain picard a go one day.
