Jayasuriya during the course of his match-winning 70 off just 44 balls also took his sixes tally in ODIs to 222, a new record. Afridi has hit 217 sixes in 234 ODIs. Jayasuriya (11442 runs in 374 ODIs at 32.87 with 23 hundreds and 61 half-centuries) obviously is a much better player than the hit-and-miss Afridi who averages a dismal 22.91 in ODIs.

man that was some thrashing by Lankans..... Jayasuryia still rocks! either it was pathetic batting by Kiwis or great bowling by Lankans to bowl out Kiwis for 73 runs!

srilanka's lower order batting still needs to improve not contributing enough and their 4th and 5th bowlers are ordinary
