Scotland is put to bat by NZ and is already down two wickets.. Boult on fire..
An unchanged New Zealand chose to bowl against Scotland at the University Oval in Dunedin. Brendon McCullum, the New Zealand captain, based his decision on the early help the pitch had offered during the recent ODIs against Sri Lanka. “It’s a good opportunity for our seamers to get into the game,” he said.
Preston Mommsen, the Scotland captain, wasn’t too displeased to lose the toss, saying he would have batted in any case. Scotland’s eleven had one surprising omission, with seamer Alasdair Evans, who picked up seven wickets across the warm-up games against Ireland and West Indies, left out in favour of the allrounder Rob Taylor.
Contrary to expectations, New Zealand didn’t give Nathan McCullum, Mitchell McClenaghan or Kyle Mills a game, suggesting they are wary enough of the threat posed by an improving Scotland side to stick to their first eleven. New Zealand: 1 Martin Guptill, 2 Brendon McCullum (capt), 3 Kane Williamson, 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Grant Elliott, 6 Luke Ronchi (wk) , 7 Corey Anderson, 8 Daniel Vettori, 9 Tim Southee, 10 Adam Milne, 11 Trent Boult Scotland: 1 Kyle Coetzer, 2 Alex McLeod, 3 Hamish Gardiner, 4 Matt Machan, 5 Preston Mommsen (capt), 6 Richie Berrington, 7 Mathew Cross (wk), 8 John Davey, 9 Rob Taylor, 10 Majid Haq, 11 Iain Wardlaw

Pakistan may look forward to 2020 world cup. their vision may improve to 2020 by 2020! i'll pray for them. :p
btw, Scots have changed the gear now...38 for 4 after 12
When a team which has a losing streak of 72-51 against Pak beats them than you have to consider them associates. BTW another Indian poster got so upset by such banter that he left KK, hope you dont do the same.:p

Anderson to Machan, OUT, short on middle and leg as Machan has to go. Was not at all in control of this pull as he looked to go over midwicket, but gets a top-edge which goes straight up to mid-on, where McCullum is able to dive forward to complete the take. Ends a well-compiled 97-run stand for the fifth wicket as Bagpipes signal his exit

Anderson to Berrington, OUT, short ball on middle and leg and Anderson proves he is worthy of the title of "Man with the Golden Arm" as Berrington top-edges this attempted hook high over fine leg, with the fielder in the deep able to get safely under it

Anderson to Cross, OUT, Anderson must be wondering what the fuss is all about when it comes to this plucky Scotland side? McCullum probably regretting not bringing his burly all-rounder early as he succeeds in getting Cross to feather an edge over to Ronchi to this back of a length which just shapes away, with the keeper leaping in joy as he snaffled the chance

Vettori to Taylor, OUT, slides this one through the gate of Taylor as he advanced down the track. Beats him in the flight as he brought down the blade, with Ronchi alert to the situation as he whipped off the bails. Scotland sensing the end here as they slide further to 136 for 8

Vettori to Haq, OUT, Vettori showing his experience as he gets Majid to feather a chance to this one spinning across to Taylor at slip to get NZ just one away from ending this innings prematurely for Scotland
1.43 pm: That makes it a fourth golden duck today for Scotland, surely a record? Will have to get S Rajesh on the case soon enough. This innings really is a story of three acts, with NZ dominating the first, blasting away Scotland's top order to reduce them quickly to 12 for 4, before Machan and Berrington led a middle-overs recovery to put on 97 for the fifth wicket. However, once those two went, it went back to the natural order of things.

Vettori to Wardlaw, OUT, strikes the batsman on the front pad as he lunged forward, with this one looking like it may have hit the pad first as it straightened, but the bat was very close to it. Appeal is denied by the umpire, but NZ want the review. Looks like it may have hit the pad first before going onto bat as there were two sounds there. The verdict has come in, and it shows that this indeed go on to hit the stumps, so it is all over for Scotland as their innings comes to a close at 142 all out

**4 golden ducks in an innings may be a RECORD.
Zimbabwe all out for 142 with almost 14 overs to spare.

Wardlaw to Guptill, OUT, Wardlaw gets one early for Scotland as he continues with a fuller length just outside off which invites Guptill to have a go as he looked to lift over long off, but instead offers up an edge to the keeper behind MJ Guptill c †Cross b Wardlaw 17 (14b 4x4 0x6) SR: 121.42
