Dejected, depressed and under-pressure Pakistan taking on NZ in the 2nd test.
Very surprisingly they kept the same team. :smack:
Pak choses to bat which ofcourse seems to be the right choice. But you never know and shouldnt be suprised if they get out in 120 runs.

Whether Sarfraz Ahmedâs side suffers a hangover from that four-run loss may go a long way to determining the tempo of this Test. New Zealand will, of course, be buoyed by their performance; games like those can often justify a careerâs worth of grind and toil, and Pakistan have their work cut out subduing that positivity among the visitorsâ ranks.
Hard as it may be, Pakistan would be best served focusing on the winning positions they regularly got into throughout the first Test. The bare facts are New Zealand were clinging on to stop Pakistan from running out of sight in Abu Dhabi, and without significant assistance from the opposition batsman, would be on the other side of the result, as the run of play had suggested all along. It is what caused Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur the greatest disappointment, with the hope being if his men are able to reach a position of dominance in Dubai, it will not be squandered as easily.
Wat a stupid of getting out for asad shafiq. Already was doing good. All of sudden trying to hit on the moon.

Azhar Ali and his runouts Either him or his partner gets runout in a âtest matchâ almost everytime. He was solid at 81.
Openers disappointed again. No surprise there. It was 25/2

Harris Sohail needs to slow down. I thought he was playing too many strokes.

From ARCHIVES:
After presentation of some figures above, here is a very interesting fact coming from NFP:
One may thing Pak only scored 201 runs in one day i.e. 90 overs so could be their slowest.
But in 1977 Pak-England series at Lahore test, Pak scored just 164 on day 1.
Later in that test Mudassir Nazar made the record of worldâs by completing the slowest test century on 419 balls.
Later the spectators got so bored that a riot broke in the stadium.

Azhar Ali got lucky at 0 when Taylor let go the chance. The run-out was his own fair call but H.S didnt respond since he was at the danger end.

His father was before my time didn?t know him.
Gavaskar has been unfairly tainted as too slow based on his 36 not out one day performance. Gavaskar when he started was a stroke playing batsman. He could hook the ball with impunity. But he erased that shot from his repertoire for the sake of the team. For he know that once he fell, the floodgates would open.
His straight drives were classic.
PK not looking in a hurry at all. they need to change to 4th gear now.
atlast PK declared at 418/5 . Score card though slow looks good to cross 400 and still having wickets...
Hope we get few wickets in remaining overs today.

Pakistan declared too early. Another poor tactical decision by coach and captain. Pakistan should have looked to bat only once and score 550+. The pitch looks good to bat, why not use it yourself and the tired NZ bowlers for the remaining five wickets?
