You may have a view point which may not be wrong.... but then in India there are many such things that do not get the press/media coverage...separatists are last in the line. Heard of Kerala, Assam and Goa in the national press as regularly... heck no. Who cares... they do their own business and are developing? They are doing fine. The states that get this coverage regularly - UP, Bihar due to its political leaders and its ultra hyper political parties are in the dump!!!!
And one of the reasons why the separtists will never get coverage is because the country in general beleives that there is democracy and a non violent way
to resolve issues and amply demonstrated by the strength of the regional parties and the local parties. (Note:- the communists from Bengal manage to thwart the Indo US Nuclear deal out of sheer arrogance but then the Bengalis vote them isn't it - what do we do..other than respect their decision.
