Would you have any objections, if I were to submit an article of creative writing in this forum (it would be my own. obviously!). It would not be a ‘discussion’ as such… just simply an essay about anything really (life, feelings, experiences). It would NOT be in the form of a poem otherwise I would have used the Poetry section.
It would be good to submit such an article and then maybe get some constructive feedback from other members, tips on how to improve writing techniques etc. I’m not talking about producing a novel or a great work of fiction, just short articles of expression. Of course the content will still be bound to all the rules and policies of Gupshup and there is no intention of producing defamatory or offensive material.
I know that Risaala.com is probably more appropriate for such articles, but it would be nice to have such a service within Gupshup. If not in this forum then maybe you guys could open a new forum for ‘creative Writing’… just a thought.. please let me know what you think and we’ll proceed from there.

Arch-Angle. By all means my friend. As a matter of fact, I am willing to pay you for that, considering how few a people come and participate in this section. I am a sucker for creative writing myself and love to read cultivated stuff. What you can do is perhaps intersperse some culture in your writings (so it is justified for this section).

I assume that you are a Desi (from the sub-continent) as Desis are up and coming in literary field, and are causing literary storms all over the west. Even if you are not a Desi, please contribute.

Arch Angel, I have read a few of your posts and I must say I have enjoyed your selection of topics. Your expression is clear and some ideas that u brought up were very thought provoking...I would be glad to read your articles.
Muzna, maybe the articles that admin gathers in this section could be used as a tribute to gupshup members and published in Risala's next edition. It would give new writers a feel of the magazine and help you guys set a tone for future articles.

First of all, NYahmadi, Muzna and Boss, thank you very much for your support and hopefully pretty soon I will submit an article here for you guys to read & enjoy.
Muzna, I agree with what you said about Risala.com but to be honest with you I spend so much time here in GupShup, I thought it best to start any creative writing articles here and then maybe move onto Risala.com at a later date.
