i will be going to ny city, manhattan area for a 2 week training from work. is it safe?? i am kinda worried since i will be alone…and i have heard ny being scary but i am originally form chicago..anyone here from NY?

Are you a girl or a guy? New York is like any other big city. All you need is a bit of common sense. If you are originally from Chicago, you'd know how to survive.

You've heard ALL LIES. Leme tell you, New york is a quaint little area. Very safe, very quiet. the people here are just lovely. However, there's not too many blacks or hispanics or any other ethnicities for that matter. It's a rather boring town, nothing to do, there's not too many people..... t's a small town ya kno?

i am a girl from chicago...i am coming to ny for my two week training at Jp Morgan chase headquarters on wallstreet. I will be staying at the roosevelt hotel on madison and 45th street. how is that area? im just nervous! anyone of u guys live around that area?

Plus usually trainings are in batches so u'd have some company. In the mid-town area (where you hotel is) its generally very safe. Just don't wander around very dark alley's late at night. But I guess you should know those rules from being from Chic-a-go.

Now let a New Yorker help you. You are in a the heart of midtown. Perfectly safe, 5th ave shopping to your right and grandcentral to your left as you come out of the hotel.Very few people live in that area because it is mostly commercial realestate, you will have to go a little further east or west to get to more residential areas.
For food and stuff, not sure what your limitations are as per your scripture proclivities, you have access to every kind of food, if you go two or three blocks east to third or second avenues. You are also very close to times square which has a lot of restaurants for tourists and threatre goers.
Now as we do it with most people who come to our fair city…we would invite you to a after work drink around your habitat so that you can meet a few of the exalted members of Gupshup..who also happen to be new yorkers. Many who have taken this opportunity have had their lives turned around, 79.8% for the better. Your call..and we will set it up.

You are staying down the street from where I live.
Very safe area even until midnight. Be smart though obvously, Stay on the main avenue streets late at night avoid darker less populated streets. Most of NYC is pretty safe for you to explore, only places I can think of avoiding is Harlem at thats at night
I personally don’t like time square dining because it is always franchise food that you can find everywhere in america…

That city is the biggest ghetto in north America. I have been there 2 times already and that city takes the hell out of me.
It is seriouly very dirty, with garbage everywhere, running sewage on streets. You feel like you are an Liaqatabad or some very dirty area of kara-chi. And the driving in that city is very fast and scary.
Also be carefull at night, it is very scary. Watch out for the niggas in the back allys.
The cleanest city in North America is Toronto. Toronto is so clean that it feels that the whole city is cleaned every day. You seriously think you are in Switzerland or something when in Toronto.
