Have you guys ever tried this dried soya bean chunks that are availabe at Indian Stores???

yes, i have...sometimes with aloo..and sometimes in replacement of chicken for some vegetarians in some recipes. You can even make them just like chicken shashlik...even vegetarian i know thought it was chicken. Also, with nutrela granules you can make vegetarian burgers..and my ammi also used to make them like qeema matar...

Nutrela is okk.. but if you can, go to this store in Chinatown, it's called May Wah, at the intersection of Hester St and Centre St. They have an amazing variety of soy products, everything is vegetarian, and the look, texture and taste are all far better than Nutrela. I usually get shredded chicken from there, works great in biryani , burritos, etc. for my vegetarian friends.
