Nust? Nopes. Lums? umm...No. GIKI?? nayy...UET???

Hello everyone. Me new here.

I was an A-Levels student. My Result:

6 As in O-Level
3 As in A-Level
Equivalent marks to FSc. : Somewhere around 915

…And that engenders the root of all my problems. I was rejected from LUMS SSE after the interview. I still wonder why? I couldnt manage to read through those FSc books in 7 days (haha). I got merit position 2749. wow!

I didnt apply to GIK. No. Its too far away. And FAST? No. because I dont like it.
UET is what I am left with. My preparations are still unsatisfactory (I feel downtrodden and now I am wasting time on internet). Chem Book II bothers me most. I want to major in EE or ME or Mechatronics. And thats the end of the list. So guys tell me. Am I stretching myself a bit too much?

What should I do now? Is there anything I am left with? How feasible is gap year? If I take a gap year, will I be disadvantaged (abroad)?

And about preparations. 3-4 days left. I read almost everything. I went to an academy too. I was getting 230. That was before I read Maths Book II and Physics Book II. Am I |)0000000|/|ed???

As far as a gap year is concerned, you may be okay if you intend on applying to Universities outside Pakistan. I know some Universities in Pakistan may not look too favorably upon a gap year since an applicant's age factors in at many institution (stupid really!).

If I were in your shoes, I would gain admission at a respectable institution in a program that interests me, and try to get through the undergraduate degree program. A gap year is warranted in situations where you have specific plans for spending some time out of school.
