why are bumpers a hazard to newborns? my son has slept from birth to now (he is mashallah 8 months) in a crib with a bumper..
i dont do blankets for him cuz they just gather way too much dust.. and may trigger allergic reactions as they gather so much dust.. i prefer a duvet for him.. change his bedding once a week
i bought 3 complete bedding sets.. which had fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcase, quilt cover and bumper.
i change the bumper once a month.. bought lots of bedsets which just had flat sheet and pillow case and quilt cover that matched teh 3 bumpers... so the bedding wouldnt look odd.. but u dont really need so many bumpers.. u need more of the actual bedsheet, quilt cover adn pillowcase..
i put a breathable rubber like protective sheet a few inches down where the baby's bum would normally be.. its like a metre long and wide.. i thought i wanted to protect the matress just incase he leaks or something.. ontop of that i put a fitted sheet and then a flat sheet...
