“Yes,” he said, “I do. My father taught me.”

“Good. What comes after three?”

“Four,” answers the boy.

“What comes after six?”

“Seven.”

“Very good,” says the teacher. “Your dad did a fine job. What
comes after ten?”

“A jack.”
