I was reading the JF-17 thread and Fraudiya’s lament to how he walked away from the Airforce, and started thinking about my own time as a cadet in Sargodha. This is just to revive some old memories of the beloved Drill Staff and some of their more memorable insults/comments/events. Hopefully this will revive fond memories for those of us who were cadets and make those of us who weren’t give thanks that they didn’t go through it!
If you were a cadet/officer/service member please list the memorable events/sayings of your drill staff/sgt. I hope this is the correct forum for this. If not my apologies.
I will start off:
Staff: Yaad rakhain…parade aap ki namaaz hai aur parade ground app ki masjid!
Cadet: Staf, aap ki masjid main kutta phir rahaa hai.
Staff: Moon ko band krrrainnn!
Suring the hot summer months we were sometimes made to stand at attention in the sun as punishment:
Staff: Jiss nay sabaq seekh liya hai haath kharaa karay!
Cadet raises hand
Staff: Saab! shun main harkat! Number shout saab!
Another Staff during early morning drill: Saab main aap ka naashta rok to naheen sakta lekin thanda zuroor kar sakta hoon!
Too saab…tum saab! Jab drill theek karo gay to aap saab kehnay kay qaabil ho gay!
