Re: nude or natural make up .......

For dark circles I like the Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown correctors. I like applying them with the beauty blender. For a light day time look that brightens up the face... i like using a peach-orange lipstick..which I dab on lightly. And for the eyes I just do eyeliner and mascara. And if I feel like it....just a bit of Nars blush in orgasm. So overall a simple look but the lipstick adds that pop of color to brighten the face. Otherwise I like using a tinted lip balm such as the Burt's Bees Red Dahlia...or a a lip stain for a more neutral lip.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

A good BB Cream with a natural finish. (A liquid highlighter for face also if you want to feel a bit glowy. I think highlighters suit dusky skin better and showcase cheekbones)

I found an Eyeshadow that matches my skin tone exactly. I put it on then just do a simple liner. It looks like I'm wearing no eye makeup and helps with my upper dark circles.

For under eye dark circles before getting a concealer, get a Corrector. No concealer on this planet would work for me until I got an orange/peach corrector. I still have to use concealer because my circles are pretty bad but they disappear much more.

Lastly get a lip/Cheek stain. They give you a natural flush on both lips and cheeks.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

^^ A corrector definately works wonders before applying a concealer.
A shade is hard to suggest because everyone has different undertones to their skin and even sanwala rang comes in many shades. I would suggest going to a local makeup shop and trying out a variety to see what suits you.
A corrector that is more orangey would probably be best for your under eyes, apply that before the concealer, wait a few minutes for it to set and then apply a concealer.
If you just use a concealer without a corrector - it tends to make the under eye area look ashy and grey, which only makes the dark circles stand out more.

In terms of eye makeup - I love the NAKED basic palettes - they are very neutral shades and smaller for everyday use. If you have more money to splurge then even the NAKED 1 palette has pretty much all of the neutral shades you will ever need. Any good rich brown, golden, even taupe tones will look nice, but be sure to use a good eyeshadow primer before applying eyeshadow to get the most out of the colours.

In terms of lipstick shades - corals work on almost everyone, you can start off with those and then experiment with pinks and red tones. If you have thinner lips, stay away from very dark lipsticks as those will make your lips look even thinner. Matte lipsticks help a lot and are easy to use and exaggerate a fuller lip. Get a universal lip liner which goes on clear but helps keep the lipstick from bleeding. I really love Sephora's universal lip liner - it's a great money saver too because you don't have to look for a matching liner with every lipstick you buy.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

^I find that using only a corrector can be sufficient as well.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

I've never actually found any corrector I could use on its own, I'm actually curious now, which one are you currently using?

Re: nude or natural make up .......

Laura Mercier. I use that and my aucoin foundation. It seems to cover...at least it looks okay to me. But who knows..maybe I'm doing something wrong, lol.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

No I guess I could work since you're using a foundation after, which can work as a concealer for some. :)
I am dying to get my hands on Kevyn Aucoin products.. need to find one near me. Do you like it?

Re: nude or natural make up .......

Yes, I really like it. It's so pigmented that you only need a little bit, so that tiny little container can last you for years. I like the the idea of not having to buy/replace foundation so often. It's very cost-efficient. You can mix it with a cream, or your primer, or a facial oil to give it more slip and then blend with beauty blender.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

Laura Mercier has a good coverage, I have read many comments about this product and it really works on them. Even my friends use this products and they are happy to use them on their skin.

Re: nude or natural make up .......

which brand of lip stain would give natural finish?

Re: nude or natural make up .......

I use the bodyshop lip cheek stain because it's very matte and the red colour I have is identical to the my real blush.
