Interesting the potential of a Nuclear armegadon is not really that far fethced considering how little we know of the effects from radiation.
Besides the direct Fallout theres so many other ways it can cause harm such as entering the food chain and water systems as well as the horrible imediate effects of radiation the long term effects are not so easy to predict.

Seems poor old Darwin was totally wrong about Evolution, a species so highly EVOLVED that it has managed to self destruct and not even know about it can't be at the top of the Evolutionary Scale?
