NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

Why can’t they just tell the court that they can not write the letter because in their opinion President enjoys immunity, the stand they take publicly. They really want judicial martyrdom to fool people once again. This government has really made a mockery of the morality, judicial system, parliament, people of Pakistan and everything in this country. Now they want the whole country to wait till the Attorney General takes his vacations abroad. Disgusting attitude..

NRO case: Reply from Ashraf after Law ministry sends summary – The Express Tribune

ISLAMABAD: Unable to submit a reply from Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf about writing the a letter to Swiss authorities, Attorney General Irfan Qadir said that once the Law Ministry sent the summary, only then would the cabinet be able to come to a decision, Express News reported on Thursday.
The attorney general, during the hearing of the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case said, “I believe the prime minister and the cabinet will decide together.”
The case was being heard by a five-member bench presided over by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
When Justice Khosa replied saying, “You mean first the Law ministry will give its suggestion then the cabinet will decide?” the attorney general said that since the law minister and secretary were new, the cabinet would reflect upon the matter and give a final decision.
He further told the court that he had to leave the country and asked that the case be heard afterwards, adding, “I am sure that the cabinet will have made a decision by then.”
“You have given us your response, now wait for ours,” Justice Khosa remarked and reserved his verdict on the attorney general’s reply till 3:30pm.

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

They cannot tell that, because the stupid they may sound, they are actually aware from the fact that SC is not asking a prosecution against the president but it is only asking govt to write the letter to re-open the case, which govt can do by adding two lines more saying that the one of the party in the case has accidentally became president of Pakistan and have immunity till he remains the president... that is all ...

and the idiot advisers of PPP have not told Zardari that, his presidency is not for ever, eventually it will end and will probably last for one more year at most, then what??? the letter would be written may be by the caretaker set-up or by the new govt which if ppp looses elections..

The only way PPP and Zardari could have earned sympathy is by doing lots of good work and keeping away from controversies, but expecting PPP doing these two is like living in fools paradise, so what they did is first by their miss-management and bad-governance, made the country living hell and have name of the PM and most of the ministers in almost every scandal...

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

He will be in London by then...so no worries

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

I support PPP in this case. This CJ and this judiciary deserve it. Let's see how many PM's they are going to send off for a stupid letter.

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

If it is such a stupid letter, why don't they send it without wasting any time? You are supporting PPP for doing corruption, getting official positions and refusing to obey law?

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

Not really. He faced BS for 11 years without any trial. He will face 110 years of this nonsense. Don't you ever worry. Since he belonged to Sindh, that is why he has been singled out by a corrupt judge belonging to Punjab.

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

PPP simply cannot resist playing Sindh card, even on GS. It happens when you have nothing substantial to support your case. Now wail your heart out to save the person who is more dear to you than your country. How pitiable!

Quetta is in Punjab? :@:

Re: NRO Case: PM’s reply not submitted

for how long this Swiss Saga will continue, I’m sick and tired of it. its like whole of Pakistan revolves around this :smack:

knowing PPP , they are not not going to write the letter, infact, this will further give them an opportunity to become victims and use this as an excuse in the next election!

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

In the banana courts of Pakistan, right? And when foreign court were involved someone claimed insanity, who was that?

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

CJ, in his four and half years, which case has he decided except PPP? All his energies are wasted in single case forgetting others. Is this justice?

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

Since we have a friendly opposition to government, someone needs to keep a check n balance. I am sure if PML-N govt takes over next time and if this CJ remains (tenure?) they'll suffer the same.

Re: NRO Case: PM’s reply not submitted

I read somwehere, the Zardari has moved his money from swiss banks and invested it somewhere in EU, through shell companies

could be just a rumor :hmmm:

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

^ that can be easily verified and traced, and that would open another pandora box for him.

Re: NRO Case: PM’s reply not submitted

:omg:

Re: NRO Case: PM’s reply not submitted

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

Chaudhrys are not born resident of Quetta Baluchistan either.

Re: NRO Case: PM's reply not submitted

Why is that so? so if I find someone named Chaudhary and he claims he is born and raised in Karachi, should I not believe hiim?
