NRO Beneficiaries

This is an old news item. But it is relevant for all the times in the history of Pakistan. After lapse of 3 years non other case except Zardari’s has been activated and any decision taken.

**CJ should resign for his total failure judiciary of Pakistan by opening Pandora’s Box. He has unnecessarily been involved, wasting his time in government administrative functions forgetting 8040 criminal cases he himself decided to be activated pending criminal and corruption against politician, their workers and tons of corrupt bureaucrats. **

Tsunami Khan is also silent on these severe criminal and corrupt cases not being activated by different courts of Pakistan. He was talking about eradicating corruption in three months had he come in power, but almost three years have elapsed with zippo action on his part. He even forget to mention any thing about these cases in his so called tsunami processions. He is just an expert in lip service and forget what he said 24 hours ago.

(I only quote him above as he is the only politician who seems or pretends to be serious in eradicating corruption in Pakistan.)

The government has issued list of 8041 persons who benefited from NRO including 34 politicians. The list includes President Asif Zardari, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, Farooq Sattar, Federal Minister Babar Ghauri, Jahangir Badar, Ambassador Hussain Haqqani and Wajid Shams-ul-Hassan. The top beneficiary of NRO is Altaf Hussain whose 72 cases including 31 murder cases were dismissed.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Minister of State for Law Afzal Sindhu revealed that total number of NRO beneficiaries were 8041 including 7793 persons from Sindh only. Sindhu told that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and his wife’s names were not in the list as the court had dismissed PM’s cases upon finding him not guilty; whereas, his wife had made an agreement in the court. The minister of state told that President Asif Zardari, Nusrat Bhutto, Rehman Malik, Jahangir Badar, Ahmad Mukhtar, Altaf Hussain, Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri, Governor Sindh Ishrat ul Ibad, Shoaib Bukhari, Kanwar Khalid Younus, Salim Shahzad, Imran Farooq, three ambassadors Waseem Akhtar, Wajid Shams ul Hassan and Hussain Haqqani, A.R. Siddiqui, former chief secretary Punjab Javed Qureshi, Anwar Saifullah, Siraj Durrani, Mushtaq Awan, Gul Sher, Haji Nawaz Khokhar, Rana Nazir Khan, Waliur Rehman, Yousuf Talpur, Slaman Farooqi, Usman Farooqi, Peer Mukaram, Tariq Anis, Haji Kabir, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali, Chaudhry Shaukat Ali, Mian Rasheed, Mian Tariq Mehmood, Sardar Maqsood Laghari, Brig. (Retd) Imtiaz, Brig. (Retd) Aslam Hayat, Safdar Baqri, Saeed Mehdi, Noman Saigol and Mir Baz Khetran are included in the list.

Sindhu said that the top beneficiary of NRO was Altaf Hussain with 72 cases including 31 cases of murder and 11 cases of attempt of murder. He told that term of NRO was ending on November 28 and all the cases would be reopened automatically. However, President Zardari’s cases could not be reopened until he was in Presidency. Sindhu said if the court gives verdict against a person the government would not support him. The minister of state maintained that cases filed against PPP leaders in Nawaz Sharif’s tenure were result of political vendetta. He said verdict of only one corruption case was announced in 10 years and 3 judges had to resign after that.

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

I will only laugh at this :rotfl:

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

Yes it is an issue, thousands of cases are pending and it is increasing every day. You can't blame CJ for EVERY single issue judiciary is facing today. Some of these cases have been pending before he even took over. I have heard that the similar scenario exists in India as well so something must be done about it but an individual CANNOT be blamed.

On another note, shame on Chief Justice Imran Khan for not taking notice of this issue lol, Imran's SIN list is increasing faster than Pakistan's debts :)

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

You are allowed to laugh at the stupidity of your stupid leader for which you are here to promote him.

Actually for you it should be

, but you show your emotions just opposite like khasiani billi khamba nochay.

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

You did not get it did you? When CJ opened this pandora's box, it was his responsibility to ensure that every one got justice, otherwise throwing NRO in the garbage is garbage in = garbage out.

Why IK is reluctant to talk about these cases of corruption and heinous crimes many of them committed got benefited from NRO?

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

I agreed about the cases but you are taking it to different direction alltogether. It's not that CJ is delibrating delaying the hearing to save corrupt politicians. He must do something about it but you cannot single out CJ.

As for IK speaking on this issue, i can't remember exactly what show but he has specifically discussed this issue in detail and stressed on the importance of speedy justice and admitted people are getting disappointed due to lengthy delay. It is sad and funny at the same time that you had to DRAG IK even in this thread :)

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

  1. It is the government’s responsibility to reopen cases against NRO beneficiaries. Oh wait, NRO beneficiaries ARE the government!

  2. The AGs or NAB have to pursue those cases. Oh wait, AGs and NAB is under the control of NRO beneficiary government. Why are you trying to pass the government’s agenda of encouraging corruption at all levels to CJ or IK?

  3. Given limited capacity and thousands of haram khors, I would go after the biggest haram khor. Oh wait, the biggest haram khor happens to enjoy immunity, says the government. Seeing how the biggest haram khor gets away so easily and rising star of big time corruption made Prime Minister, I don’t think small time haram khors have much to worry about in this respect.

  4. PTI and JI are the major parties which have been vocal against NRO.

  5. If you write a lie in red and make it bold, it still remains a lie.

Re: NRO Beneficiaries

Yes it is only PPP’s government responsibility the deep sh1te and mess created by others in decades.
