What is this all about?

Re: NPR series on Karachi

oh wow, thanks for the link. Man, finally something (even if its a tiny bit) great about the largest most powerful city of Pakistan. There is a lot of good points. The more I get to know about the mayor of Karachi, the more I like him. I really do like his hands on approach to the dirtiest of problems like fixing sanitation lines and efficient garbage pickup! Its unheard of. I personally can't remember a big politician talk like that in Pakistan in a while.

Re: NPR series on Karachi

as always, american broadcasters maintain a much better balance in south asian reporting than their british counterparts. good job, npr!

Nahi yaar. Its rare everywhere. Our US media is pretty bad. Npr sometimes does a good job, as it did here.

Re: NPR series on Karachi

oh i just noticed the photo gallery. ees wery good.

and i just realized the mayor guys name is mustafa kamal. A great name indeed. Lets hope he can follow in the footsteps of the great turk. Secularism is the way to go, especially in a diverse city like karachi where there are so many different languages/ethnicities/religious beliefs.

Re: NPR series on Karachi
