… growing up- I always used to hate how women used to be over dependent on cosmetics and often how I would think what plain janes they would look without it.. it became an attitude I adopted and alhamdolilah my make range can consist of just a stroke of eye liner and moisturised lips and thats it:k:… so far I havnt scared every human I come into contact with .. and as yet the male population figures havnt vanished ****…whats good is when I do doll myself up .. people really see the change and appreciate my eau naturel ..
Nope… not a dependency. It’s due to my tendency to be natural in everything. Thank God, I don’t have a ‘face’, that I need to put on. My younger sister does, she is 5 years younger. She has a face for her uni and for just going out… but then she recently developed some acne. Now she has toned down a little on the amount of makeup, saying she also needs to protect her skin… it’s amazing how it’s such a dilemma for her:cb:
But for me I use very little on a daily basis, but there would be days I just won’t feel like putting anything on or there won’t be enough time, I won’t feel the difference.
PS: I would love to wear contacts, for occasions and stuff, I just can’t put the damn thing in my eye!
Un-hunh…you nailed it. The peroxide hair and light gray eyes. I wear colored lenses but they’re very subtle and its not a color that contrasts hugely with my skin or something.
I dont wear makeup. And cos ive never really worn it i dont really know how to apply it and so just dont bother. It seems like a bit of a hassle anyway. I just put on a bit of moisturiser and some vaseline on my lips and im done.
I do always wear a slick of mascara (I have heavy lids and look half asleep without my lashes curled up) but the rest I could go out without if I had to.. When I was in my teens I was a lot more bothered about this stuff but as u grow up a little u tend to relax and feel more at ease with yourself..
in general, women from Pakistan don't look good without makeup unlike Persian women. so wearing makeup while going out is a wise decision for most. I prefer natural look tho.
Funny u prefer 'natural' but mention Persian women who are notorious for their nose jobs (Tehran is the nose job capital of the world), lip fillers and their craze for wearing coloured lenses and dying their hair blonde.. When it comes to 'cosmetic enhancements' they put western women to shame..
I don't wear make up unless I'm going to a wedding, just lip balm. I used to wear really heavy makeup between the ages of 15 and 17, I begged and moaned to parents to let me wear it and they finally gave in. I walked around like a clown for 2 years then gave up wearing it.
You shoulda made your nick “Princess_Sarab” or “Sweet_Sarab” or “Redrose_Sarab” “Sarab_Angel” or “Sarab the Cutie” or “Desi_hotness_sarab”…you know cuz we don’t have enough of those variants around here.
I think pakwomen saw me writing in arabic one night (I deleted it because the person I was writing to does not want others knowing she is arab?!?) and maybe thought my nikname was s-arab instead of sara-b.
yes, actually I thought she was an arab - who's name is sarab (arabs have such names right) :o
I am but i did not realise untill I really looked at my nicname that it could be read as s-arab, my name is 'sara' and my surname does begin with 'b' and i am arab, so i've realised it is a pretty cool nicname.
