Shahid Afridi: Gone (may be a year or 2 as player, but definitely not captain)
I don’t care if Umar Akmal performed in a match or two, he is brother of Kamran Akmal and whenever we would want to kick Kamran out he will create troube as he has done in past, and Kamran will get sick/injured they will call Adnan Akmal. Its becoming like a family business
Saeed Ajmal: Gone
Younis Khan and Misbah can play for another year or two (max) but for next world cup we need to find more players to replace these guys.
PS: This is only for ODIs, not for Tests
What say you? Who’s on your list that should be out of team?
Younas Khan should resign. Misbah should commit suicide. Akmal brothers should invest in some other business.
Ok Joking.
On a serious note, I don't know. I don't think i have enough knowledge or expertise to really make such a judgement. But i would love to have Shahid Afridi as our captin for the next WC too, InshaAllah.
My list:
Kamran Akmal from all forms of cricket
Younis from ODI nd T20
I agree with that, instead Misbah can hang around but then he might teach wrong thing (completely block till end then hit n miss in the end :D).
I think Afridi should def stay as a captain ... he has been great support for his players!!! and plus he is an agressive bowler!! he's kind of all rounder!!! ... Also, I would want to see Saeed ajmal, hafeez, and Wahab raiz!! ... but I think overall everyone did a good job!! ...
Captain jee why are you firing everyone? We should not fire people just because they won't be around in 4 years time! This temptation to make wholesale changes after a world cup should stop
Let's be a bit realistic
Umar Akmal is the future. Agreed he has some attitude/disciplinary problems but those can be addressed with good leadership from the top. He is only 21. It is another matter that we have a jacka** as PCB head. Kamran Akmal sure needs to go as w/k and should only play if he can justify his place in the team as a batsman
Saeed Ajmal can play for another couple of years. He is 33 and in good form
We do not need Younus in ODIs. He should continue to play test cricket however because it suits his style of batting. Misbah should stay for another year or so because he is atleast scoring runs with the bat
Afridi won't be around as a player in 2015. As a bowler he can surely play for another 1-2 years in ODI. His batting is already in decline
Abdul Razzaq is 31. We just did not utilize him properly as a batsman in the world cup. He should have batted at no.6 with Umar Akmal moving up the order to #5. Drop Younus Khan

hmmmm , interesting observation ... but wht makes you think Afridi wont be in 2015 as a player?? he has been the highest wicket taker so far!!! 300 somthing ...

Officially he is 31, unofficially we know he is atleast 33 or 34 (he said it himself after 2009 T20 world cup). Afridi is by no means indispensable
For starters we are in serious need of some batting talent. Hafeez was brought in under similar circumstances after the 2003 World Cup but he never came near to fulfilling that potential. Younis and Misbah should definitely go. We need two good openers desperately, why is it that a small nation like Sri Lanka can consistently produce good batsmen and we can't? We have had so many failed players as openers it's unbelievable. Hafeez, Imran Nazir, Taufeeq Umar, Khurram Manzoor, Khalid Latif to name a few. Unless we can sort this out we will never win a World Cup. Bowlers alone can never be enough.
I am not really firing everyone, notice Umar Gul, Wahab Riaz, Hafeez, Asad Shafiq, Junaid Khan, Ahmad Shehzad are not in firing line. I like Umar Akmal as batsman but his politics is just a hint of Shoaib Malik but I am sure this guy will be even worse, far worse than him. Kamran Akmal should go and be replace by anyone other than Akmals. Rest can hang around but we need to prepare good bench strength, we don’t want to get to 2015 World Cup then suddenly find Younis Khan, Misbah, Afridi, Razzaq as sitting ducks for opponents.
Our cricket infrastructure needs an overhaul, training and grooming of talent is not at good enough level.
Cricket is not played with huggable/adorable human being, but professional cricketers
