About Riaz Afridi I heard he suked in domestic lately. Yasir Ali was quick but was erratic and not much improvement in domestic. Farhan might be considered soon after WC now, I think. Naved Latif is perhaps too old now?

but the what i wanted to mention was that all of these players were selected for the national team and then only got one or two chances and were neglected there aftee. I believe if the selectors give somebody a chance, then they should stick with with a players for few matches before discarding him. Like they did with Hafeez

^ I think team's captain also plays important part for the playing XI, so if a player was included in the team/squad and he didn't get more chances to play games then captain/coach are to be blamed for not giving him chance or may be they found him less skilled then other members of the team/squad.

Most of these players were tried when politics was in top of Pakistan Cricket board. It's epitome of neglect towards these talented players. One game should not seal a fate for the player's future. The best option now is to let them stay in domestic Cricket and then see if we might use them if any need arises.
We try too many players and then discard them. This is the best way to "waste" talent. The better way would be to give them proper grooming and then let them play a full series of ODI/tests to really know in how much water they are in..

exactly my point ... if they were found to be "less skilled" , why were they selected in the first place ?
its sad in a way ... well the trends are finally changing .i hope so it stays this way inshallah ...

They were “selected” because they were outshining everyone else in domestic, domestic-lions
