Now this is pretty brutal

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

Yeaaaa..that is true..coz there are loads of those (mistresses/prostitutes) walking around in UAE…

So now we are blaming the law for these men being jerks??? OK! they are being jerks coz they ARE jerks! What ever the law says, even getting dumped over the phone, or via any mode of technology I feel is not very “polite”, getting divorced via a TEXT message..that is awful. I feel anyone getting divorced deserves to have a face to face discussion about it..not a TEXT message!

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

you shouldn't completely blame men in general. after all, men include your father and brothers too. what i was saying, is that, besides these particular men being weak and weasely, its harsh shariat law that HELPS these dudes making it EASY for them to do something so stupid like that.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

Sir Divorce can take place if The man confirms it that the massage was from him

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

How so?

My cousin in Pakistan is divorcing his wife and it's the same "SHARIAH" law there too but they're going through a long procedure like the council sent the girl one talaq and then waited for three months etc.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

^ Agreed, each 'tallaq' is given after 3 months, so a period of 9 months altogether in which for the first 3 months they can still get back together. That to me is a much lengthier process than the one in countries abroad and gives the couple time apart to truly assess the situation. Why the hate dude?

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

I heard one molvi say on tv..........if a man writes 'talaq' like in the air..like waving his finger n stuff.....the talaq becomes valid.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

mahapurush ji, what if the man mis spells tallaq or is it talak. or may be talaak hmmm...
still is it a done deal?

what if she cant read or write that language?

you seem to be making new religious laws everywhere. what is your ruling on this case.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

lol… what if he writes talaq in english? would it be valid then? or what if he writes with a ‘tay’ rather than ‘tuay’ :hehe:

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

^ it was a QTV molvi........basically...he was just sayifing that.........talaq happens no matter what u do.......

like

if you are out of your mind
you are half asleep
you write it on paper and tear it up later
basically almost everything....

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

What if you just say "the tay word"?

i bet it's the same molvi who said pronouncing the word pig will make your zubaan napaak for 40 days.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

I think most people are of this opinion that if you say the word "talaq" for 100s of times at one occasion it will still be counted as 1 talaq.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

I don't have brothers..and my parents are divorced..and trust me my dad did not use a phone to do it...it was a very lengthy discussion...it was sooooo bloody lengthy that I was very happy when it finally happened! But at least he was man enough to have the discussion face to face. It doesn't matter what the law allows you to do...if you use a txt message to divorce, you are a jerk..actually you are more than a jerk..am jst being polite on GS.

That is why they say don’t believe everything you hear on tv :chai:**

and also what you read on forums too :chai:

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

I heard a shaykh talk about this and his opinion was that if the man is in such a fit of anger that he isn't aware of his surroundings or drunk or something the divorce is not valid and must be done again. Opinions opinions, I know which one I prefer though. If someone was stoned out of their head to me that divorce seems meaningless (not that you would want to be married to a stoner anyway)

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

Amazingly, the message starts with “Dear Aisha” and ends with “Love Ahmed”. This is so polite of Ahmed, I must say.

Plus the graphic editor who tried to hide the sender and receivers name did a one bad ass job.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

Saying the divorce three times or writing/typing/texting three times or expressing by sign language three times. All the same.

Isn't it?

If I text someone very good words or very bad words by any means, won't they have respective reaction?

Now, why in the world anyone try to discount the seriousness of the matter and the intention?

Just because electronic method was used, does that nullify the intention or the result? Nope.

(Provided it can be verified that the sender was indeed husband and he later reaffirms his intention)

Being a whimp or coward is another matter.

But if one believes three times saying these words means absolute divorce then one has to believe texting three times even at one go is final divorce.

Divorce is not a joke.

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

Dang! And I thought this was gonna be a thread about my Underworld friends… Oh well no more guys like Roy “Pretty Boy” Shaw.

Pffft Brutal… yeah..

Chuck Norris walks up to a burly man.
Roundhouse kick to the head… no effect.

Slams his fist into the guys belly, the man laughs.

Side-kicks him and slugs his hairy jaw… still the man laughs.

Stunned and without any strength left Chuck Norris falls to his knees and in one last desperat attempt screams out…

“I am Chuck Norris!” Leaps to his feet and scowls.

The Burly man simply shrugs and says “Pleased to meet you… I’m Bud Spencer…” Then Slaps Chuck and sends him flying twenty yards…

Now thats Brutal! :faris:

Re: Now this is pretty brutal

Sir times you really sound a man will sent talak to his wife and he will for sure know she can read or not this is not new religious law if the man confirms that he sent the massage than talak will take place
