*NEW DELHI: Maoists are acquiring weapons through Bangladesh, Myanmar and possibly Nepal, according to home minister P Chidambaram, who nonetheless has expressed government’s willingness for a dialogue with them provided they abjure violence.
Naxalism remains the biggest internal security threat to India, he said and hit out at intellectuals who still try to “romanticise” the Naxalites.
In a wide-ranging interview, Chidambaram said the government is practical enough to understand that the Naxals would not lay down arms.
He said the West Bengal government has “learnt a lesson very late” after the Lalgarh operation but he would not comment much on the West Bengal government’s decision to secure the release of an abducted police official by not opposing the bail application of about 20 pro-Maoist tribals.

Chalo jee, now Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal are on india's accusing list. Will this bully ever let smaller neighbors live in peace? Don't think so!*. *
Not on accusing list !!!!!! It is just they are mentioning the route from where naxaalites get modern weapons. After all AK-47's dont necessarily grow on trees !!!!
Odd isn't it how they come out of Indian consulates in Afghanistan. And I bet they grown on trees in Nepal, Bangladesh and Burma.
Why do they have to come out of Indian consulates ..... Pakistan has a vast infrastructure of manufacturng these illegal weapons inside the tribal areas .... Dera Adamkhel is the largest arms manufacturing area in Asia .... in private sector :D
Mind you inspite of Pakistan claiming that these terrorist have some "mythical" weapons ..... it is just regular AK-47 and rocket launchers that have been used so far .... unless you have some information to the contrary that you would like to share !!!!!
