Bakra Eid Association of Greater Chicago is actively seeking part time and full time qasaa’eez in North America.
Job Description: Carry out slaughter of qurbani animals in various locations. You will be responsible for the performance and execution of all parts of a successful slaughter.
Requirements:
- must own your own tools (churra, skinning tools, taisha (cleaver) and a 2 ft tree trunk, electronic knife sharpener is a plus
- must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- be able to drop a cow (gaaye giraana)
- possessing human to animal communications skills is a must.
- be able to counter attack an aggressive horned animal
- must be able to slaughter, skin and piece at 1 lb/sec
- Female applicants are always preferred
We are an EOE employer.
Education:
A Bachelors degree in Biology is preferred but not required.
