There are different type of Noukar.
Khaansama = Bawarchi = cook : ye ameer logon ke ghar main hota hai. Often he has a helper , who does the cleaning , cutting and all the chota mota stuff. Apart from cooking khansaama has to go to market and buy grocery , meat and chicken too . Because it is critical for nature of his job
He knows how to cook various type of dishes according to the liking of people in the house.
Driver : His primary duty is to take begum sahiba to places. Like Bazar, gym, relatives places etc. sometime he has to take choti bibi to friends and college too. Maintaining cars and washing them is also his duty.
Chowkidaar = Watchman: This is a very important servent in rich houses. Obviously he has to guard house of potential intruders. Chowkidaars are mostly Pathaan and they have a gun. They do time paas by listening to radio or talking to other chowkidaars of the area and rest of the servent.
You must have noticed that almost all of these servents are male. There are very few female servents in the house, because general idea about them is that they are kaamchor, talk more and backbite more.
However, exception is always there. But the fact remains that in noukar market, there is always more demand of male noukar than female noukar :k:
