I’m nto sure what it’s called technically, but is it possible we can get a notification system like on Gmail or Facebook, that instantly notifies you when you get a PM or friend request/visitor message etc?

you can set your settings so u will get pop-up notification if someone quotes you or sends you a pm.
as for friend req and visitor msgs i guess at the moment u can only get email notification for them. :)
