they have struggled when we needed them to perform. n i am talkin in general in the last few months. i just dont see them clicking in the Australian tour either.
malik n inzi r two people i trust in tests. younis n youhana, well mayb… but no one else.. whenever the top order is batting i have my heart in my mouth, they just dont look solid. in the past they have struggled against india, south africa n now SL among others on relatively flat pitches. so i just cant imagibe gow they’ll fare against australia on bouncier pitches. i know they wont produce lightning fast tracks, they never do when pak. is visisting coz they know well how gd our speedsters CAN BE. but newayz, i just have not much faith in our top order. THEY MITE CLICK, but rite now there’s no evidence to believe that they will do a gd job.

You have named four already. What it means that our weakspot is basically openers. That is not an easy problem to fix, especially because most our openers are used to flat and dead sub-continent wickets, and their technique needs polish. Only experience by playing on fast and bouncy pitches can rectify that.. so we should just stick with our available talent, and those openers who have a reasonably good technique will succeed - may be not right away, but in due course.

i do trust malik n inzi totally, although malik is still young. younis n youhana maybe but a "maybe" is not gd enough. they have been horribly inconsistent in the recent past. as for the openers well they r a different story altogether. as for the fact that they will get better, well its been 18 months now, n they have only gotten worse!
Youhanna is an ok guy. Younis, I am not so sure. Razzak is gutsy. If 3-4 batsmen click, we should be ok for ODI's. For tests, atleast 7-9 players have to perform at 90+% of their abilities, for the team to succeed.
