I actually ran the idea past my mum. I told when I had saved up a certain sum of money, I was going to leave my career behind and open up a cupcake shop (she wasn’t impressed).
Sometimes I regret not working in the public sector, I could have looked forward to taking early retirement with an amazing pension and benefits and then lived out my dream of a cupcake shop.
Oh well, I guess it’s still not too late aur Inshallah, my cupcake shop will happen soon enough.
