I am told i look better then my pics:bummer:
I am up for a photo session at a studio today. It makes me nervous already.
So girls, any tips and tricks for getting photographed(not at studio). I want some collection.

LOL I get told the same thing. There are some people who say I look better in pics. Whereas, some say I look much better in real.

I met a friend from a forum once, and the first thing he says 'oh you look prettier then your pics':@ Makes me want to have a nice collection of pics. But i think the artistic streak is missing:(

I forgot to mention something do you which is your good side? Everyone has a good and a bad side of their face. I prefer my right side. I was watching NKS once and she was talking about it. Maybe you aren’t happy with your pics because you don’t know your angle? 
First take pics from your cell phone to side which ones come out better from which angel before going for a proff shoot.

Exactly, smile. Act natural. Don't feel tense. It's just a photoshoot. No one is going to shoot you or something. Don't listen to the people who say you are not photogenic or don't feel that way. A good photographer will make you look photogenic no matter what. Wear clothes you are comfortable in and also wear appropriate makeup etc. Enjoy your shoot.

I have good pics from all the sides. Its just only a few turn out good outa large number:(

ah.. same here,, i look better in real than in pics.. but i guess just be yourself, natural a nice smile and agree with dubaiwali, the photographer should make you look good :)

find the angle that makes you look best. Try posing with all different angles till you find the best one. I always thought i wasnt photogenic either till I found the right angle and then all of a sudden ppl think I look like a model when really...its just an angle thing...

practice posing in the mirror. practice different smiles etc. be confident that you'll look good inshallah. your photographer should help you though.

don't worry, I know many really pretty girls who just don't look the same in pics. Good contouring also helps define face cuts and make a person look more photogenic ;)

I agree with whoever said everyone has a good side! My right side is a gazillion times than the left :D It's like looking at two different people.
A trick I learnt was to put a foundation the same colour or very slightly darker around the edges of your face, and something slightly lighter around the centre, i.e. under your eyes. Make-up makes such a difference.
