Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Sometimes, prayers can be made, but for some reason, it seems that it is better not to make them, because they maynot get kabooliyet.
is it alright to think this way?
what does it tll you about the mind of the person who is not making the prayer because of this fear?

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

You should always make dua regardless of its acceptance of rejection. If it is accepted, fine but what if you never tried or made dua to begin with?

Agar dua kabool na ho to phir wo zariha bun jati hai kisee musibaat ke talney ka

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won’t be accepted

The concept is totally against the teachings of Islam…

According to the teachings of the Prophet:saw:, every single supplication gets answered… yes… you heard me right :)… every single.. It is we, who can not grasp things sometimes… So, our religion teaches us three levels of grant.

1. Your supplication gets answered EXACTLY how you asked for it.

2. You do not get what you had asked instead you get a better/different thing for only Allah:swt: know what you may have asked was not the right thing for you.

3. You do not get any answer to your supplication in this world, and according to a famous hadeeth, when a muslim will be given reward for all those un-answered prayers of the world in life hereafter, he/she will pray that if none of his/her supplications would have been answered in this world.

And Allah:swt: and His messenger:saw: know best
Wallah-o-Alam!

very true. JazakAllah. Aq

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Let me get this straight;
If it's gets answered = It's all hunky dory.
If it's not answered = It's for your betterment, (But how the hell would you know until it really happen?)

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Anwaar Qureshi brother, now that you have mentioned exactly what I intended to share, I would like to share few words from a great scholar (I think he was referring it from a hadith, but am not sure)

Sometimes a bad person makes a dua and his dua is immediately accepted, but a good person infront of Allah keeps praying modestly and shedding tears, but his prayers are not accepted. When the angels ask Allah about this, Allah replies that I don't like this sinful person's (first person) hand raising for me and his tongue praying, so I immediatly give him what he wants, but I like the modesty and tears of that good person (second person), so I delay the acceptance and reward of prayer because I like to see him more in this position of praying sincerely with tears (and would ultimately give even greater reward to him for his patience)

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Dua is a request to Allah for one's needs and desires but it is also a form of Ibadah that one should only ask from Allah and no one else. Therefore, if we do Dua on this basis then we can be sure that Allah will reward us for asking Him only.

You said how will we know until it happened. The answer to this is no different to knowing what will happen to us after we die. It is an issue of Faith. Until the Dua is not fulfilled, Allah demands from us patience and when it is fulfilled we are obliged to be grateful.

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Dua is anything you ask for with sincerity of heart. Does not necessarily have to be on a prayer mat or kneeling in a church or sitting in the temple. I believe once you make dua it does not magically get accepted instantly. I think it may have a dominoes effect and lead you thru a chain of events/people/situations.
Probly when dua is fulfilled you may have even forgotten you asked for it.

So my advise, make your dua with sincerity and let it be "out there". I think it will bring some good to you.

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Allah is "ALWAYS" listening and watching. With no offence that is a wrong statement you made.

Re: Not making a dua for fear that it won't be accepted

Allah is listening. When we act on it, is a diff story.
