when i was getting married my inlaws and my parents obv gave each othr gifts. we live in england. so mum said to my mil that you get better clothes in pakistan, so i wont bring a gift from here, you choose a suit from there and il pay.
my mil and sil chose suits worth 8000 rupees each.
they gave my mum suits worth around 1000 rupees and she didnt even buy it, she gave a suit someome gave her to my mum.
it amazed me that my mil actually knew the price of the gift she was getting because she chose it herself, so she cudve given a similar back....
i like whatever is been given to me m not very picky about clothes n perfumes bags etc n i use them very well.....and i never re-gift to someone.....
i have received many gifts with price tags on them!!!!
n i was quite amazed that people have not removed the price tags why is that?they also do for PACKED/wrapped gifts....
Random people giving me a gift, I honestly dont care about it. I would just smile and say thank you.
People who know me and people whom I know have great taste in selecting things for themselves and wont hesistate to put very expensive things on their wish-list giving me a crappy-I-dont-give-a-***-gift .. I care enough to dislike it. But with these kind of people, it doesnt make anything good by telling them you dont like their gift. Its their fitrat *to buy ugly stuff for others so “no one has something as great as their”. .. Apni fitrat se kaun bhag sakta hai .. Such people, keep the gift exchanging on absolute minimum.
