وزیر خارجہ کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان علاقے میں امن کا خواہاں ہے لیکن اگر پاکستان پر جنگ مسلط کی تو وہ اپنے دفاع کے لیے تیار ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا ’ ہم جنگ نہیں چاہتے، لیکن اگر ہم پر جنگ مسلط کی جاتی ہے تو ہم مکمل طور پر تیار ہیں۔‘ وزیر خارجہ نے مزید کہا کہ ’ہماری امن کی خواہش کو ہماری کمزوری نہ سمجھا جائے‘۔
انہوں نے کہا پاکستان پہلے ہی بھارت کو ہر ممکن تعاون کی پیشکش کرچکا ہے اور اب بھی اس کے لیے تیار ہیں لیکن اہم معاملات پر پاکستان اپنے اصولی موقف سے پیچھے نہیں ہٹےگا۔
دریں اثناء بھارتی ٹی وی چینل سی این این آئی بی این کے مطابق پاکستانی وزیر دفاع احمد مختار نے ان کے ساتھ ایک انٹرویو میں زکی لکھوی اور مسعود اظہر کی گرفتاری کی تصدیق کی ہے۔
پاکستان کی سکیورٹی فورسز نے اتوار کو مظفرآباد کے نواح میں جماعت دعوۃ کے ایک مرکز میں کارروائی کرکے اس کو اپنے کنڑول میں لے لیا تھا۔ اطلاعات کہا گیا کہ یہاں سے گرفتار کیے گئے افراد میں لشکر طیبہ کے مبینہ ملٹری کمانڈر زکی الراحمان لکھوی بھی شامل تھے۔ لکھوی کے بارے میں بھارت کا کہنا کہ وہ ممبئی حملوں کی منصوبہ بندی میں شامل تھے۔

Let me in my words tell you what i think PM meant:
Those arrested are Pakistani Citizens, so therefore they should be tried according to Pakistani laws. And should they be found innocent, then they shall and will be set free. And they should not be handed over to India. We're past the era where citizens were sold $5000/head.
Will India hand over Purohit and his buddies since they killed Pakistanis? How about the other 30+ people that Pakistan demanded?
Now that i've made that part clear. Lets move onto the next part that you oh-so-conveniently tagged along in reference to 7/7 bombers. They were british citizens, so they should be tried according to british laws. Simple as that.
