NOT complaining about the in laws this time

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

I'm the same way. And it annoys me further because it seems like I'm not responsible enough to think to do it myself, and I'm only doing it because they told me too. Drives me crazy!

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

its just easier to comply than to argue! Uff

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

haha omg i do the exact same thing, and it annoys me so much. hehe glad to know i’m not alone in this.

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

I like it when people remind me. Sometimes I just plain forget about certain things....like when there are two or three dishes in the sink and I can't see them from afar.

I guess it would bother me if I took it as a criticism. Or if I though that this was somebody's way of making me look bad. But I always take it as a person helping me. Making sure that I don't miss a thing in my duties.

Then again, I have sort of a twisted take on things.....

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

maybe you should just suck it up and do what they're telling you to do instead of whining

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

hey are you a doc by any chance? Are you going to be in MI anytime soon?

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

yeah but i like to whine. it’s my fun :frowning:

lol…true that

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

haha....I've the exact same issue and so does my sisters....When my mom used to tell us to do something...all of us would react the same way....irritated!

I used to be like i never said i am not doing it...i'll just do it when i will... that would irritate my mom even more...and then it would all mess up...choti si baat ki baree si deal...haha

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

no, and no but if you need a referral......

btw, what made you think that I might be a doc

Re: NOT complaining about the in laws this time

I completely agree with arshad. The key def is to do it before someone has to remind you. I'm a cleanaholic, been trained since a young age. Mum always taught me the housework from a young age so im prepared for it after i get married. Not just that but i dnt let my mum work at home much, i try to do what i can before she has to do it. Would never sit back and watch her do all the housework.

Anyway, i don't think its a bad thing that someone has to remind you. If you don't like it ignore it. Simple

Sara516 - Have you considered buying a 'Dish Washer'?. Ask everyone to rinse the plates/cutlery and place them in the dishwasher - that may help you somewhat..

The other way is to take turns doing house chores. In Western countries its impossible for one person to do everything - we are all working/studying/raising kids etc.

We had a visitor from India staying with us, one day he picks up a spoon and tells me " Yeh ganda hai" so I said 'to safa kar lo na - arey bhai yeha koee nokar chakar thori hain, khod he karna parta hey". **So one day after Dinner I said "today its your turn to do the dishes". After that day he never complained about the dishes.!!!.
