not being able to clean

i wantt to know if not being able to clean your house or switching off despite everything being a tip !
although u really want to is a form of depression.???

Re: not being able to clean

or it could be a form of laziness?? cuz that's what happens to me at times but then other times all i wana do is clean clean clean :o quite weird if you ask me

Re: not being able to clean

haha u sound like me n then looking at a dirty house makes u even more mad cuz it shows u, u r not doing anything n the cycle goes on

Re: not being able to clean

its not a form of depression, its a form of idiocy.

Re: not being able to clean

Gamma - LOL.

I don't get the original poster's question...why do we get angry when looking at a dirty house?

Re: not being able to clean

I am guessing she means you procrastinate because you are depressed.

Re: not being able to clean

So the uncleanliness is due to the depression, rather than vice versa?

Goes both ways, I think. Environment affects mind, mind affects environment.

Re: not being able to clean

exactly and then its a vicious cycle :teary1: sigh I KNOW! I have been procrastinating for hourse now

Re: not being able to clean

^ try this. put on some good fast music..sing along and clean up. it helps get it done faster. i know it works for me...maybe you too..
just getting started is half the battle

Re: not being able to clean

Have you ever seen those shows where a professional organizer goes into someone's house and gets their life in order. Cause even though they're throwing out trash and putting up shelves with alphabetized cd's what they're essentially doing is clearing out someone's head. I believe that people who are pack rats, who keep everything and cant even wash their own dishes have some major emotional problems. There was a woman who had alot of pets that pooped everywhere, even on her bed and she slept on it. she needed a psychiatrist.

But then there are people who are just lazy and procrastinate. They just need to turn off the t.v. and pick up a mop.

Re: not being able to clean

what good is a woman who can't even keep a clean house.

Re: not being able to clean

not much good at all.
beat her up…maybe that will knock some sense in her, eh?
if that doesn’t work, shoot her.
she’s wasting perfectly good oxygen.

sheesh

Re: not being able to clean

^ lol

what good are men if they cant please a woman
just a waste of space

Re: not being able to clean

ahem no..no real man beats his woman up..

what i meant was that what good is a housewife if she cant even keep her house clean..i mean i can understand if she an ibanker and is putting in 100 hrs/week..but if u dont do anything and sit idle all day long atleast u should maintain the house..

Re: not being able to clean

it MAY be a symptom of a stress, or a form of depression.

the sense of not wanting to get up and do anything, the feelings of lethargy or not careing

how ever it could well be due to tiredness...dure to having much to do in your daily life
or even pure lazyness...which isnt a bad thing

we are sometimes Too clean and sterile... nothing wrong with a lived in look.

as long as you dont have rats walking around licking out your dishes before you reuse them...!

Re: not being able to clean

a hundred hour aweek working banker can have a dirty house

and an idle woman should have a clean house?

Re: not being able to clean

yeh

Re: not being able to clean

what if the idle woman has a part time job?
say
forty hours aweek...

Re: not being able to clean

thats what im saying...if a woman has a job then i can understand house not being clean..but if ur not working and sitting all day on ur ass watching geo then theres something wrong..

Re: not being able to clean

(a) Laziness *leads to dirty house
*
(b) Dirty
house leads to depression
(c) Depression leads to laziness

The above cycle repeats until the house is so dirty it cant get any worse. Thats when the dirtiness, depression and laziness all hit rock bottom. From there on though theres only one way and thats the way up. All three elements add to form (d) Guilt which in turns (sooner or later) ignites a (e) Motivation mechanism.

(e) Motivation leads to cleaner house
(f) Cleaner house leads to Happiness
(g) Happiness leads to motivation

The above cycle continues until the house is so clean you can lick the floor. Thats when Motivation, Cleanliness and Happiness all hit the ceiling. From there on though the only way is the way down. All three elements add to form (h) Over confidence (i'm number 1 so why try harder?) which in turn (sooner or later) ignites the (a) Laziness mechanism.

And so the circle of life is completed.

Sincerely,
Captain Lota
