Interesting idea.
How has the world today, shaped the good in you?
I agree with her, I think good is an ongoing struggling. I’m a believer of the American Indian folk lore that there are two wolves inside everyone - a good one and evil one. These wolves are constantly fighting each other - the one your choose to feed will become stronger and win. I think people have within them light and dark - its a conscious decision to choose one over the other.
Why is it indian folk lore when we have concept of good farishta and shaitaan with us concept? often referred to as nafs? The road of goodness and kindness is always under construction because the bad and despicable within us keep riding on it.
I have always believed that all people have good and bad in them. Everyone is capable of being good or evil and you must choose one. This will change on a day to day basis depending on mood, circumstances or belief in God. Sometimes it is a struggle and let’s hope we all make the right choice.
I think it’s a BS way of justifying your negativity. Being good is natural and being bad takes a lot more effort. Actually justifying your bad acts is plain stupidity which is worse than just being bad.
The japanese 3 face theory? The Japanese say you have three faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family. The third face, you never show anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are.
This is true. I say ultimate truth. Since in quran story of creation tells.
We will have calls for doing good and doing bad. That process does not stop.
In fact you do good today, next time you its going to need more power to be good.
Yup.
Also quote shows her/his discomfort with the world, or how to think about it. etc etc
