The deafening noise and great enthusiasm among the Pakistani crowds in England is worth noting here. I miss those times esp. the 1992 and 1996 series here in England

^ True.
These guys didn't need a perfect pitch to get wickets unlike our current bowlers. I miss those times.
I miss that team! :(
Waqar and Wasim were not only great bowlers but they just had great style too. I mean the way they celebrated getting wickets, the joy, the gestures, everything was amazing!
btw who thinks that this dress looks even better than the popular 1992 world cup outfit. Admittedly it is a dark green colour (darker than the green in our flag) but the name label is very distinct and the outfit in general looks very neat and clean. I don't know why we keep changing them...
Waqar is in UAE these days as an expert/commentator for the current five match one day series between Pakistan and Australia. Since he has recently become an Australian national, I was just wondering on which side would his affiliations be now?
I am sure he has kept his Pakistani passport as well. And your argument is completely flawed. Most desis living overseas I believe would still support their native countries in sports etc. regardless of what additional passorts/citizenship they may hold now. Do we just change our loyalties after acquiring a new passport?
and Waqar's wife is an Australian Pakistani

Reverse swing,
You probably didn't read my post clearly. Who said anything about changing loyalties? I was just trying to highlight that he would be commenting on the two teams; one which he has captained and played for and the other which he has played against and now is his own country's team.
Thanks for sharing the info about the his wife, I met her years ago when Waqar was the captain of Pakistan team.

More than the inswingers, I love those beautiful outswingers. His first three wickets against Australia were all outswingers. Just lovely to watch.
