Nosebleeds in toddlers

What are some causes?

My toddler has had 2 nosebleeds in the past few weeks. She seems healthy, no colds or allergies. We don’t have the heat on so there’s no humidity issues. The first time I thought it was perhaps she pulled a booger out of her nostril…but last night it was like all of a sudden.

Could it be exposure to heat? We were in a closed room yesterday somewhere, for a few hours, and although the fans were on, it was quite hot.

Re: Nosebleeds in toddlers

it could be due the heat especially in young children! are you in a dry dusty country?

sometimes they come on for no reason at all!

Other more serious causes could be a blood abnormality....not to scare you, but just have a quick check she hasnt got any unexplained bruising anywhere.

If it continues to happen then go to the doctor but a nose bleed every now and then is common in kiddies, especially in dry weather.

Re: Nosebleeds in toddlers

Sometimes it's nothing to worry about esp in this allergy season. Nose dries out and bleeds.

Some kids have sinus and you are not aware of it, and nose bleeds for a while due to dryness.

However if it keeps happening often then def make an appoint w/ dr.
