Nose piercing dilema

**I had my nose pierced about a year ago.
Everything was fine. I had put a piercing my mom gave 2 me.
It had a big stud so I bought some tiny nose screw and changed it.

And I don’t know why, I wanted to (re)change it today and removed the nose screw and tried to put the first one. But the hole got a bit smaller. I tried for hours and it started bleeding :(. And now I’ve put the nose screwback . But my nose is red and painful. I want the nose piercing hole to be a lil bit bigger. I don’t know what to do.

The old one was like that :

The nose screw is like that :

Re: Nose piercing dilema

ooooh yeah this happens. but I think u need to force urself to put the bigger nose pin inside..besides try using some ointment, make the piercing soft and den use the screw nose pin and be gentle!!

Re: Nose piercing dilema

the old one is the NOSE SCREW, becuz it has a screw

and the other one is a Wire Nose pin. I have the wire nose pin and I am plannin to switch to the screw one.

Re: Nose piercing dilema

**^owww sorry my mistake =))

I tried the old one, forced a bit but it started bleeding :(
My nose is swollen at the moment. I dnt know what to do =(((**

Re: Nose piercing dilema

Hey Sidra,

I have my nose pierced and I’ve seen the examples of nose studs that you’ve posted, but I don’t use either of them. Instead I get the straight-backed steel nose studs from Claire’s. And then with a tweezer I bend the back at a almost 90 degree angle and put it in. It stays in place.

Example: http://smartsilver.co.uk/nose%20studs.jpg

^Only difference is that I bend the back a bit more so it looks almost like an L to keep the nose stud in place. I bend it more like the example shown below:

Re: Nose piercing dilema

Re: Nose piercing dilema

Use an antiseptic ointment (like Neosporin) smear it on the end and try to insert it in your nose then.... hopefully it will work.

Re: Nose piercing dilema

**I tried but didn't worked :/
and it hurts alot :(

When I try with a thinner nosepin it works but when I try with the one I want it hurts like hell :(
**

Re: Nose piercing dilema

awww.... maybe put in the thinner one and let your nose heal a bit.
Next time, use a numbing spray or something that you can use to dull the pain... then try inserting the thicker one so you can do it in one go and not injure your nose.

Re: Nose piercing dilema

**For the moment I put the thinner one and yea I'll try tomorow... :(

Re: Nose piercing dilema

this happened to me too...but the original nose screw that i had was kind of in a drill style...u know so it was pointy at the end(my person did it with a piercing gun which is bad i know) but anyhoo when it got smaller i'd put that in first. maybe u can ask some who pierces for that kind earring(i think my person gave me an earring cuz it stuck out soo much). hope that makes sense

Re: Nose piercing dilema

Whatever you do be very careful because the nose cartilage cannot be stretched.

Re: Nose piercing dilema

Or maybe you need to tweak it a bit as you put it in because it happens to me and only when I'm putting it in the wrong place, even if it's off by the slightest can cause discomfort and bleeding, so I wiggle it around until it goes in where it's supposed to.

**

LOL this is my story too !
I got mine pierced with a piercing gun also :hehe:
And I also did the earing thing :stuck_out_tongue:

The earing’s diameter is smaller than the piercing and that’s the prob.

I think I’ll re-try in abt a week or so coz at the moment it is painful swollen

Re: Nose piercing dilema

im scared to have mine done

Re: Nose piercing dilema

Actually the 2nd one is called a nose screw. You was right in what you said.
I did the same thing. My nose piercing is so tiny now. It wont fit anything in i would have to get it re-pierced to fit in a nose ball.
I have a diamond Koka i have never worn because it simply wont fit. I wanna change the bar but the bar i wear now is far to thin for the bar.

Theres nothing to worry abt, But do be very careful. Nose are very sensitive!

Re: Nose piercing dilema

u mean ur’s was like this and it still didn’t get in?? u see the tip is really pointy so i remember i just forced it in cuz i didn’t want to lose my piercing. it’s painful but just do it with some neosporin on the tip and yeah do wiggle it around

Re: Nose piercing dilema

**Guyzzzzzzzzzz I’ve a prob again !!!

I have put a nose screw and I don’t know how, it disappeared !
I was sleeping and when I woke up, I had no piercing !
I have searched it everywhere(on the bed) but didn’t find it.

I’m going to buy new piercings. But it’s been days that I haven’t worn anything. Is the hole still ‘open’ or not :hinna:

Re: Nose piercing dilema

It probably will be quite difficult for you to put the nose screw in. Just keep twisting it as you put it in!
I had my nose pierced but ive let it heal up, still got the scar!
