Yayyy hun! :) The immediate pain should only last you a day-ish, but you'll have to be careful not to hit your nose or anything while sleeping. I was suggested to use coconut oil and keep turning the nose stud every few hours to make sure the "platelets" don't aggregate.
I heard TCP is good to use on piercings but i wouldn’t reccomend it… i had my nose pierced 11 years ago and used it and it seemed to make it worst… it got infected and i was heart broken never got my nose pierced after that. I’m getting married soon dnt knw whther to get it done again or not i knw u asked what to use and can suggest luke warm water with sea salt dont use the normal salt thats used in cooking… im not sure as to how much salt should be put into the water
I’m too scared to move it today, maybe in 3 days time?? Lol.
I haven’t got the neem sticks yet, but I’ll get them soon, iA. I was recommended not to change the stud until after 10 days.
OMG TCP?!! NO WAY!! I was actually recommended the salt and water. I did a search online and most websites suggest the same. I’ve actually started using it - used it twice so far, and there have been some improvements. My nose isn’t so red anymore and it doesn’t hurt too much either. (Btw, I’m using cooking salt for the time being, but I’ll go and get the sea salt soon).
You should get it pierced again from a reputable person. Try getting recommendations from people who have had theirs done before and haven’t faced any problems. It should be fine as long as you care for it properly.
Half cup to 3/4 cup of boiled water and half teaspoon of salt. Let the water cool until its drinkable temp. Soak cottonwool in it and hold it over your stud and just soak it. Don't touch the inside yet.
Do it tonight before bed.
It will prob be sore for maybe a day or so but you should be ok.
Also I was a wimp and took ibrufen just after cause it was super sore. And mines been a week and a half now and it's ok. But I forget it's there and then hit it when I'm cleansing or something and then the pain. Oh the painnnn.
Thanks Aaliyah. I used the salt water and I've seen alot of improvement. It does still feel sore, but iA that will go away soon. And yeah - I know what you mean by accidentally hitting it - OUCH!!
