Nose pierced?

So I’ve been thinking about what I’d look like with a nose stud and so tried stick on ones but they always looked so fake. I’m almost sure I want one and that it suits me but if I decide I don’t like it will I be left with a scar afterwards when I take it out?
My two sisters who both have one disagree, my eldest sister says it will. Is it noticable? Has anyone done it?

I have my nose pierced. And honestly, I personally don't know why people get so freaked out about being left with a scar. Or maybe it's because everyone's skin is different and some people scar more easily. I got my nose pierced 6 years ago and when I'm not wearing the stud....it starts to close up and you can't even really see where it's pierced. For a very fresh piercing....if you decide you don't want it anymore...it'll close up more easily and you shouldn't be able to see the scar.

Try the magnetic variety if you think the stick-ons look fake. Your two sisters that disagree are just two people.....you can try to get the opinions of others in your family that won't be biased. For example, my mom and sister are not crazy about nose rings....so they wouldn't be the best people to ask. Get the opinion of other family members and some friends...perhaps take some pictures (front and profile) with your fake nose pin and see how that looks.

My nose is pierced and I have no issue with it at all. If you take it out, it closes up (atleast mine does)
I encourage you to wear something real (gold or real silver) and nothing fake because that might cause some sort of darkness

I don't have any scar but i got it done when I was 17, this is like a decade ago.

I had my nose pierced 3-4 years ago and at first it was fine but then a bump began to appear, this was on and off for a while (I had a real gold nose stud in) and then eventually the bump became permanent and I went to the doctors and he told me to take it out and that I must've had a reaction to the gold and I should've worn a 24 Karat stud. Anyhow, I took the nosestud out and now have a bump left on my nose...I will probably have to get it removed :(

The point of my long story is not to scare you lol but just to say that make sure you get it done from a professional place, I had it done from an asian salon and learnt from my experience. My friend also had hers done from the same place and has a bump on her piercing now.

Also, my cousin had her nose pierced and took it out a few months later, she has a tiny weeny mark on her nose but it isn't even noticeable unless you get really close.

I have had my nose pierced and yes....if you look closely you can see that it is when I am not wearing a stud.....but its not so bad as to look horrible.

I guess if I had to I could conceal with with make up.....just never felt the need to.

Now I'm going to be paying more attention to it thanks to your post.....LOL.

I think everyone has a different reaction. Some are more sensitive then others. I got mine done here at a salon in Canada but it fell out one day and the hole closed...in ONE day! and i was on vacation in Pakistan. then I got it re-done from the farmers wife who takes care of our family lands...and the pin and oil was extreamly dirty lol
but alhumdulillah it's been good

I had my nose pierced about 2 years ago. It was nice in the beginning...when I had a stud. I loved it. Then I got a 24 karat gold wire nose ring. My skin near my nose turned black and looked weird. Then the 24 karat gold stud turned black and the wire broke. I was so disappointed. Then a bump formed and it would bleed. I finally got rid of it. I got it done at the mall..
I wanted to get it done again for my wedding but I have a very symmetrical face and the nose stud sort of throws of the balance a little

I got my nose pierced and simply love it :D But yes most of the time it leaves scars behind. But nose pin hardly looks bad on anyone, jes make sure u get it pierced at the right place and put in Chandi or Gold. And get the smallest stud possible, the bigger ones wont look nice. the smaller the better. Do listen to the desi tootke abt scars/danna on nose.

lol. i haven't worn a nose ring in weeks now, and there's a dark spot there...I just don't really bother wiht it but then again I don't waer much makeup to cover up anything either.

lol, same here....first time was just bad despite having it done at a hygeinic and clean place, second time was more like yours but its been good for the last coupla years :D

well this is my story about it....I got my nose pierced at a jeweler, but after returning home I realized that it was not located in the center and so I removed the gold wire that was put in and went back the next day again to get it done right :p yeah yeah I know I acted crazy....but I "used" to be a perfectionist.... but now after 9 years of loyalty to it I am planning to remove it for good.....I feel like it doesn't look nice anymore...I wear glasses and the nose pin looks odd with the glasses on....somehow now I also feel like people look younger without the nose pin???? or may be it is time I realize that I am growing old :p

oh and about the scar.....even if you get one , which may happen sometimes for some reason, the scar would go away but it will go very slowly...my SIL had this big bump after nose piercing and it took a while but it did go away!

I got my nose pierced a few years ago, I had it in for about a month but when I stopped wearing the stud the hole closed up and left ABSOLUTELY no mark.

i dont think it will leave a mark if its not infected, so if you do come out with the puss / spot around the stud then you will be left with a mark.

i was forced to have my nose pierced :( my fiance kept dropping hints that a nose stud would look so nice on me ... and then there was the worry off wearing a nath on the wedding day !! the clips on look odd to me and they are so painfull my best friends nose was hurting on her wedding day and it was so sore that i knew i'd have to pierce my nose eventually for my shadi!!

so i had my nose pierced via a gun piercing. they cleaned the area with tcp and used a hygenically packed earring without the backing. I didnt even have a nose stud it was an earring! i didnt even know until i saw the packet!

so i got tcp and cleaned the area a few times after the piercing, when i went to sleep i slept straight so it the stud without backing did not fall out... but the stud fell out whilst i was washing my face. So i raided my mums nose studs and tried them all on ... my nostrils are to small to get a finger up it to screw the screw :(

so i put it in without a backing again lost the gold stud too the following morning so when i went to work near my work place a shop selling body jewellery i got a hook nose stud i put it in ( it was made from surgical steel) kept tcp'ing my nose and MasAllah after the torture its been through with everyone in my family sticking their fingers up my nose bending it etc to try and screw the screw on my nose has healed perfectly!! no puss filled spots no nothing :)

motto of the story, get a hook nose stud and tcp your nose alot !
