Hi, does anyone here know the steps to contour the nose when applying makeup? How would you make your nose look smaller if your applying makeup.
Any suggestions would help.
Thanks!
Re: Nose Contouring
if you're trying to make it look thinner, brush some bronzer down either side of your nose. make sure the bronzer or blush is the same one you'd use on your cheeks so it looks natural and not like streaks of dark on your nose.
if you're trying to make it look shorter, brush the bronzer/blush on the tip of your nose, leaving the sides as they are.
Re: Nose Contouring
To slim your nose you would apply the contouring shade on each side of your nose, blending carefully, and the highlighter down the center of your nose.

A quick word on Contouring and Highlighting All of us have a perfect face shape, the most desirable shape usually being oval. Using darker foundation, clever highlighers and blusher, it is possible to create the illusion of a different face shape.
The following pictures give you a guide to where to shade or highlight your face.
Contouring - brown
Highlight - yellow
Blusher - greenRound Face Shape
Contour: Sides of jaw, temples and neck
Highlight: Centre of nose, centre of cheeks, chin and forehead
Blush: Just under the cheekbones Heart Face Shape
Contour: Temples and chin
Highlight: Lower cheeks on jawline
Blush: On the cheekbones
**Long Face Shape **
Contour: Forehead by hairline, lower cheeks, chin
Highlight: Above cheekbones and temples
Blush: On the cheekbones
Oblong Face Shape
Contour: Sides of jaw and temples
Highlight: chin, temples and above cheekbones
Blush:On the cheekbone
**Pear Face Shape **Contour: Sides of jaw and neck
Highlight: Centre of nose, centre of cheeks, temples
Blush: At the very side of the cheekbones
**Square Face Shape **
contour: Sides of jaw and temples
Highlight: Centre of nose, centre of cheeks and chin
Blush: On the sides of cheekbones
Re: Nose Contouring
Thats really interesting...neva knew how to do it.
Re: Nose Contouring
the best technique is not to apply two lines as it looks fake and unnatural, u need to accenutuate the tip according to ur natural nose tip...i cant xplain but would need to show u which obviosusly isnt possible.... shading can take years off a persons face, i find majority of my clients actually try out these techniques as they fall in love wid the finished look in their pics...
Re: Nose Contouring
what do u mean by highlighting?
Re: Nose Contouring
hello?
anyone?
Re: Nose Contouring
to use a highlighter, or a light reflective powder.
Re: Nose Contouring
I read somewhere that you actually have to use one shade darker then your foundation on both the sides of your nose inorder to make it look thin - and oh yea blend it so well that it only looks like a shade not a dark foundation on the sides
Re: Nose Contouring
What about on the front of the nose?
what do u put there? Do you use the same shade used on the side of the nose for the tip and front of the nose.
Re: Nose Contouring
no the highlighter goes on the top of the nose
