There is this great Islamic conference which falls every year in December. It takes place in downtown Toronto, and has been a huge success in the past.
The Islamic scholors are the best on the planet. Their knowledge is so vast, one wonders if they are normal humans at all.

Isn't this the same conference whose (Michigan) attendees were detained and finger printed at the US border?
No reasons were given as to why they were treated like criminals.

Yeah its the same one. But in the end no charges were pressed. These ppl were just trying to give the Detroit Muslims a hard time. Still that should not discourage our attendance to this conference.

I'm going with some friends and I believe a few other guppies are going as well. It looks good. Hamza Yusuf will be speaking this year. I'm not sure what exactly "camp" is supposed to be. Do any of you know?

It’s a shame really. Harassing lawful citizens at the ports should be a crime. I wonder what happened with the civil lawsuit?

Yeah no idea what happened with that lawsuit. This year the best of best speakers are attending. Also there are going to be wicked nasheed performances. For 45 dollars you cannot go wrong. Also it will be held at the trade centre at the CNE.
I am totally looking forward to this. Normally I dont like Islamic lectures, but this one is a pure exception.
