Re: Normal delivery after Caesarean (VBAC) in Karacahi
So the dr is Islamabad had said there's more chance of rupture as the age increases and since healing is slow, there's other complications. That's all my relative was told and was convinced not to go that route. I wonder if anyone else was told the same?
I just searched online and people said they had VBACs in their late 30's! I think its an issue even in late 30's but definitely not in early 30's.

Healing is slow in later age but if the wound is healed its healed. I never heard that if you are old, your wound will heal half the way and then stop :)
I dont know what is the gap between the pregnancies in your relative's case but if its large enough to allow the stitches to heal, and if she has no other complications, she should get a second opinion.
Yeah I asked her to get a second opinion too but she said she went to the "best" dr in Islamabad so she might not need an opinion. Her mentality I guess? Btw, she had her first at 29 and now she's 32.
Youngmom, I agree age shouldn't matter. Hopefully you find a good dr who doesn't believe all that age stuff and be supportive of a vbac:)
