I had a vbac and I support your decision of trying for vaginal birth. All I want to say is be prepared in case you have to have an emergency c-section again. You will be taking a risk if the doctor says you need to and you decline thinking doctor is wrong.
May be you can have your SIL with you at the hospital so she can understand and guage the situation.

You wrote earlier that the incision is vertical. Now you wrote it is horizontal.
Vertical incision on uterus (not outside) has more chances of rupture. Check your report if it says about the incision.

I accidentally wrote vertical in the beginning. The incision is horizontal on the outside, shouldn’t it then be horizontal in the inside too? The report didn’t really say anything about the incision.
My SIL did say she would be there insha’Allah at the time of my delivery
