best rock album of 2003…no doubt
koi nai baat karo yaar…Noor rocks all the way :k: its earth shattering man…jis band ne junoon ki band baja di ho…uska potential sun kar hi andaza hosakta hai. nothing against junoon though, i am big junoon fan from the very first album (minus tabla/sufi crap in late 90s).
But Noori is infact the first band to become the second true rock band from Sub-continent. They will go a long way.

Usman jigar, itni garmi khaane ki zaroorat nahi hai, accept the fact that there are other rock bands that are making their ways up. Junoon will always remain Junoon, the pioneers of Rock in Asia, no doubt. But if you look back, Awaz, Karavan, Najam and some other bands tried and were somewhat sucessful in Rock. But the major thing happend to Pakistani Rock after Junoon's debut in 1990 is NOORI. Followed by EP, Fuzon and Aaroh etc. And its not just hype about the Noori, their songs speak for it. The guys are talented and deserved to be No. 1 atleast for the passed year yaar. We all know, Tara Jala, Pappu yaar, Garaj baras and Ghoom tana were the only noteworthy songs in Deewar. And there are some really crappy songs in that album that rates it as an average album. You can't compare Deewar with their Talaash....can you ???? Every song back then was a master piece. Even drums are horrible in most of the songs. Basic sound engineering mistakes can be heard in the album.
But still, Junoon will remain the pioneer and their contribution to the Asian rock is unmatched. Period.
Let these kidz (noori and others) grow too. Its good for Paki music.
