Noori is the best thing happened to Pakistani Music after VS, Junoon and Strings. We can say they have made it to the top five bands ever, already. No doubt about that they have achieved so much in a short period of time. But let me say, that as far as public relationship is concerned these kids (noor and jafri) need a proper PR manager. They can't just do everything by their own, infact no body can. They write music, perform all the instruments, produce, arrange, edit, digitally master their own music, run their website, design their album's cover sleeve, choose their wardrobe, deal with corporates for sponsership deals, select location for their concerts etc etc.
Having said that they are educated blokes who are extremely talented as well. But some things should be left for the professionals in a specific job. Marketing and PR is difficult. It can take you to the top or can drop you like a stone. Ali Haider was an example, he was very limited (an average singer i would say) with his music. Relied heavily on old tunes, remixes and other musicians in his career. But he was good at PR and promotion. He achieved most of his sucess because of that.
Noori can go a long way, only if they improve their PR and marketing. Right timings and appearences can lift them further up. Where they should be.
There is no comparision b/w Junoon and Noori. Junoon is going towards heavy and digital music, while Noori in its infancy is wild. They are young and energetic, they are on right track. Its good to see both top bands enjoying their sucess in their genre. However I miss Junoon's talaash, khoi khoi aankhein, husn walon...falvour in their music. They were wild back then.
BTW....noori should have waited for their inclusion in the book. this sounds so cheap to say such a thing which has yet to be proven.

its very clear.
and everyone has own taste, just because 1000 ppl listen to junoon it doesnt mean i shud go wow wow junoon rulez?

I didnt say they are the FIRST ROCK BAND FULLSTOP, BUT I SAID they are the first rock band to APPLY.
So i believe there is nothing worng in that sentence. Well yea it can mislead ppl but is mai mera kasoor nahi, because i have stated it very clear…using the AS word.
