did they copy the novel or just Anne’s character?

in this interview below mahnoor is saying the drama is an adaptation of “Rebecca”

Rebecca? I believe rebecca has a diff. story because Irfan Khoosat made an adaption of Rebecca on PTV but it was v. different from NPKR.
